HOT - DIP TIN COATED STRIPS |
The high standards expected from the automotive, electric and electronic industries for connectors and stamped grids, such as low insertion forces, quality anticorrosion protection and good solderability, require the materials used to have surface treatment. Accordingly, copper and copper alloys are usually coated by various metals, of which pure tin is generally chosen for the surface coating. Pure tin is the best choice for surface protection for all connector and stamped grid materials, not only because of its properties but also its cost advantage over other alternative coating materials.
The tin coating is applied at our hi-tech premises using the most modern hot-dip tinning process. The thickness of the tin coating is set with air knives providing a contact-free process which guarantees noticeably high surface quality and precise coating thickness.
